Insurances

All ESCP students must be covered by health and personal insurance, regardless of their nationality and Campus.

Your insurance contract must provide coverage worldwide for the entire duration of your academic year. The following requirements are mandatory:

  • Civil liability
  • Personal/Individual accident
  • Repatriation
  • Medical fees abroad

This insurance is mandatory as it enables your participation in study trips abroad, obtaining an internship agreement, and participating in exchange programs at partner schools with complete peace of mind.

All Campuses have local arrangements with insurances companies compliant both with ESCP requirements and country regulations.

Do you still have doubts?

Take a look at the frequently asked questions below

  • What is the difference between health and personal insurance?

The health insurance applies to all your medical expenses, whereas the personal insurance should cover civil liability, personal accident and repatriation.

If you have a EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) that will act as a health insurance covering medical expenses in the ESCP countries.

  • How long should the insurance last?

The insurance must be valid for the entire duration of your studies or at least for the academic year (in this case you would need to renew the insurance every year of your ESCP career)

  • I am a European citizen, do I need health insurance?

Yes, health and personal insurance are mandatory for all ESCP students regardless of their nationality and Campus. If you have a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) you do not need to get an additional health insurance, only the personal insurance. In this case we recommend Assistance Etudiants by ACS.

  • I am a non-European citizen applying for a residence permit, which insurance should I get?

In some cases, the Immigration authority demands an insurance with specific requisites, make sure to read carefully the page dedicated to the residence permit  on your Campus website. If you are still unsure, we recommend you to reach out to the Student Experience office for suggestions.

Please note: if you have received a EHIC for your previous stay in Europe, this might not be enough to apply for a residence permit in a different country. We recommend you to contact the Student Experience office of the Campus to clarify.

  • I already have my own private insurance, what should I do?

First, check that it includes all the school's requirements: medical expenses if you do not have a EHIC, personal accident, repatriation, civil liability. If this is the case, you do not need to buy additional policies. Please ask your insurer a specific certificate that you can submit to the school with only the basic information: name, surname, validity and what is included.

  • How can I upload my mandatory insurance documents on WebAurion?

You can find the upload guide here.
