At ESCP, we believe in placing the student experience at the forefront of our institution. This means we go above and beyond to provide comprehensive support for our students to nurture their interests and projects while facilitating connections with peers from various programmes.
Your studies at ESCP Paris are designed to be more than just academic pursuits. There are many extracurricular activities to engage in, including becoming a part of over 75 societies spanning fields such as Finance, Marketing, Luxury, Entrepreneurship, Music, Culture, and Sports, among others. Additionally, you can also participate in volunteer work for local and international charitable organisations or attend conferences featuring globally renowned figures.
What are Student Societies? In French, "Associations étudiantes" or "Assos" are vibrant, inclusive communities of like-minded individuals that offer opportunities for networking, skill development, creating long-lasting memories, and enjoyable experiences. At every stage of your involvement with these societies, our dedicated Students Society and Event team in Paris is committed to providing unwavering support.

Interested in Creating a New Student Society? As you may know, our list of student societies is already extensive; we currently have 78 active societies across the Champerret and Montparnasse sites.
The deadline to create a society for academic year 2025-2026 is closed.
Next application window: 2026–2027 academic year: 1–30 September 2026
To be eligible:
- You and two board members must commit to remaining in Paris for the entire academic year.
- At least one board member must be fluent enough in French to manage official government paperwork. In France, unlike the other campuses, student societies must be registered under the "Association loi 1901" status, and all documentation is in French. While we may assist on an exceptional basis with translations, you will remain legally (legally and financially) responsible for your association towards the French government.
- You must have sufficient funds to purchase the required association insurance(s) to cover your society’s activities in France. Please note: at ESCP, association liability insurance is mandatory for organising any in-person activities on campus (more details available here). Average price: 50 to 100€/year. A non-profit purpose drives the creation of an association. This means that the individuals founding an association must carry out an activity not intended for personal financial gain.
- Your project must not overlap or conflict with any existing Paris campus student societies (listed below).
If you meet these four conditions, you may request an appointment with our Student Societies team by emailing: studentlife-paris@escp.eu.
Tip: We strongly encourage you to consider merging your project with an existing society, as the process of creating a new association under French law can be complex and time-consuming.
