Visa

  • YOU WILL NEED A SPANISH VISA IF:

    • You are a non-European student.
    • You are staying in Spain for more than 90 days.
    • You want to do your internship in Spain.
    • You need to apply for another country's visa from Madrid.
  • WHERE TO APPLY

Search for the nearest Spanish consulate or BLS agency in your country.

A few countries might have none, but you will have the option to apply from a country nearby.

Remember to double-check the visa application requirements with them.

Here is the official list of Spanish Consulates.

  • REQUIREMENTS

Once you’ve found your consulate you’ll need to look through the consulate’s website and find the list of requirements needed to be considered as an applicant.

Here is a list of typical requirements for a visa application to give you an idea of the kind of paperwork you will need to gather:

    • Certificate of enrolment for visa purposes. (provided by ESCP)
    • Official Registration Order. (RUCT & BOCM, provided by ESCP)
    • Criminal records from the countries you have had residence in the past 5 years.
    • Updated passport that will NOT expire while you are away.
    • Letter from your doctor stating you are able to travel.
    • Proof of insurance for the duration of the trip.
    • At least 2 passport sized photos.
    • Proof of funds to support yourself or notarised proof of a second party supporting you (amount often differs from consulate to consulate)
    • Proof of accommodation. (ESCP can provide it for visa purposes only)
    • Proof of tuition fees payment (you can request it here)

ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE IN SPANISH.

Please note: every consulate has its own unique requirements and you will always need to double check with them before starting.

Many of the documents listed above require appointments, processing times and multiple steps. Make sure to start as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary stress.

Important: If you are staying for longer than 6 months, make sure you secure a rental contract for minimum 6 months (you will need it for your TIE card).
